Our fees are guided by the Australian Psychological Society (APS) Schedule of Recommended Fees. Our practice does not offer bulk billing however discounted rate consultations are available for Health Care Card holders. Payment is required at the time of consultation. With HICAPS we can process most health funds and Medicare claims at the time of payment.
The total cost of an assessment varies depending on the referral questions and the complexity of the case. At present, Medicare does not cover the cost of intellectual, educational, and neuropsychology assessments. We will discuss fees with each client prior to booking the assessment, and provide an accurate estimate of the total cost at the time of referral.
Fees for cancellation of appointments made for psychological services will be charged if no replacement service can be billed for the lost time. The following is a general guideline for the cancellation fees (per session):
Full payment for an assessment is made after administration of the assessments (and before the final report has been provided). Please note: If the final payment is not made at the end of the assessment administration, there will be a delay in provision of the report. Report writing does not begin until the full payment has been received (the report is provided 3 weeks from the date of receipt of payment). There will also be a delay in provision of the report, if the questionnaires for parents/caregivers or teachers are not completed during the assessment phase of the evaluation.
Additional services can be accessed through Bev Kuster, Psychotherapist. This includes individual, family, and couples counselling, mediation, and professional supervision. Information on fees and packages can be found by clicking on the "Other Services and Fees" button.
